To meet this need, I am now offering a new service called "Design Clarity in a Day". So now you can buy my time! You can book me by the day and the total number of days depends on what you actually need done.
Whether you just need some encouragement, fresh ideas, support and a designer's eye to help move interior design decisions forward or you have a few rooms or a whole house to furnish and are overwhelmed by it, this intentional and thoughtful way of working will help you work through your project quickly and efficiently, one room at a time.
With our focused intensive approach, decision fatigue will become a thing of the past as we move through your project in a way that feels intentional, fresh and fun. Your Design Clarity Day will include one in person meeting to start. Then I will go back to the office and focus entirely on your project without distractions for the entire day. We will schedule a follow up meeting either the following day or soon after where we will review everything so you'll feel new excitement about your project and clear on your next steps. You will enjoy an accelerated process where your project will get my undivided attention for a full day (or multiple days, depending on your needs).
In our initial meeting we will ask you all the right questions and listen carefully, so that you will have the peace of mind of knowing that your needs are being understood. Your Design Clarity day will be specifically tailored to your interior design needs as we partner together to create a space that you love.
What kinds of things can we accomplish in a day of focused attention on your project?
Ideal Furniture Layout: We help you to come up with the ideal layout for your space for a challenging room or rooms: We work with you to understand your needs and wants for a space. We measure the room and any pieces that you are planning to reuse. Then we come up with 2 to 3 good options for the layout of the space. We meet again and work together to understand the implications of each layout and you pick the one that best meets your needs. This ideal layout will include furniture sizing suggestions, so furniture selection will be a breeze.
A mini project where you need fabric, wallcovering, window treatments, smaller pieces of furniture, rugs etc (for up to 3 items). We will meet first in person for 1 to 1.5 hours so I have a full understanding of what you are needing. I will go to the Design Center and curate multiple options, and we will meet again so I can share with you what I’ve found. I will provide you with recommended professionals for your project (i.e. upholsterer, wallcovering installer, painter, electrician etc).
A mini Kitchen Makeover (where we provide you with suggestions for a new cabinet paint color, new flooring, new backsplash etc.) This is perfect for when you are planning to keep your cabinets and appliances but are looking for an overall refresh.
A mini Bedroom Makeover: where I provide you with suggestions for a new paint color, rugs, window treatments, bedding, nightstands, lighting etc (whatever it is you need) to get your bedroom project off to a great start.
What Is Included?
An initial in-person meeting: where we will assess your space, take measurements and have an in-depth discussion of how you would like to use this space, so that you can open yourself up to all the possibilities that this room provides.
A written questionnaire: where you will have the opportunity to share all of your feelings about the space, so that you can relax knowing we understand the full picture of your needs and preferences.
A full 8 hours dedicated exclusively to your interior design project: taking into account all of your needs and wish list items. We will show you options for your space that you may never have considered before, so that you can feel fresh excitement about your project.
Follow up in-person meeting: to review layout, furniture selections and design solutions (whatever it is that you are needing!) so that you can feel confident in making informed and thoughtful furniture selections.
Next steps: we will provide you with a summary of the information we have compiled about your design style and your project as a whole, in addition to specific resources that will help you with the next steps in your project.
